Christmas in Grade 4

Musical / Pajama Day

Today is pajama day for the elementry school, and you could also bring a stuffed animal!We also have musical practice for the musical tonight.Right now we are silent readind or in groups of two.We will watch a movie this afternoon for pajama / movie day.We just finished our Charlie and the chocolate factory novle last week.Almost everyone is wearing thre pj's to school.

Our Fantasy Stories

Today(Dec 11,2007)our class wrote the drafts for our fantasy stories.A few people finished their drafts but most of us didn't.Today we also had mad minutes,it was multiplecation.we were really lucky today because we had no math this morning,just language arts.for lunch we had pasta,one type was really good and the other was OK.Thats mostly all we did today!!

Almost there!!

It is almost christmas. All people like to get lots of christmas food. We like to games is christmas. On December 12,2007 we are going to the Golden Sand in malaysia. I hope all my class made will enjoy it because I all to enjoy it very much. I hope I get a cool car. Just kidding!!!!

Charlie and the Choclate Factory

Today we read Chapters 18&19 in our book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It was about the 4 kids Charlie,Violet.Veruca,and Mike going down the chocolate river. And they went into the inventing room with Everlasting Gobstoppers,and Hair Toffee. The Everlasting Gobstoppers you could suck and suck and suck and it would never go smaller. And the Hair Toffee you would eat and in exactly a half an hour your hair would grow out like mad, and you would grow a moustache and a beard like crazy!

Bible

Today in bible we pratice our bible verse and then we played a bible game. When Ms. Bodley points at you with the ruler you have to say a word. We would all go in order. We all did a good job. It was fun!

Wacky hair day

Last friday,it was wacky hair day.I made my hair in pony tales and the pony tales were died.I think Kristians hair was the wackiest.I think Peters was the second best and I think Morrises hair was the second best.

Today, we still had to Fastype. It was tiring but also fun!My best score is 20 words in 20 seconds. I hope the 4th grade can improve on FASTYPE!!!!

Costume Parade!

My favourite grade

I like grade four very much! it is much better than I thought it would be. I wonder if I wil do better this time? Well I know God will help me. My favorite subject is math, reading writing,and lots of stuff. It is much different than Canada. fourth grade is one of my favorite grade.

What we did today

Today we had a Taste of Blackberries quiz. We also had time to do our Endangered animals Scavenger hunt after lunch. Our project is due Friday.My favorite thing I've learned for the project was how animals become endangered and how we can help. Miss Bodley was sick yesterday, but she is back now!

costume parade

today was the costume parade. It was very fun and wierd. There was costumes like: a washing machine, a pharo,a happy bear,a lobster,a lego block,a disco man, and mr. bean. It was really crazy.

To day in Grade Four

ZToday we talked about God and how he is omnisient.In math we had mad-minutes on multiplication.We also went to the computer lab to look for stuff for our projects.Today we also talked about our new novel.Today was cool in Grade Four!!

A Taste of Blackberries

We are starting a new novel called A Taste of Blackberries. It is about 2 kids who are best friends. One day one of them gets stung bye an insect. I wonder what will happen...

Today we had Picture Day. Our teachers had to spilt our class in half. There a person taking the picture and a person checking who has taken their picture. It was fun. Some people hadput silly smiles on their face.

Japanese Exchange day

When japanese students came to Dalat school,we went apple bobbing!I was on the white team.I love apples.We played kickball,made butter,danced,made indian hats,and of course, apple bobbing.It was such a fun day!

This week on monday we never had any school. We all have a great time. In math we had a new chapter it was about guess and check. Last week we had a social study test everyone was very confident in doing the test. We all done a great job this week. in language arts we were learning about number the stars it is about the Nazis were trying to kill the Jews.We had wrote a story digestion it was a great adventure to read all the good things.

I like Math,so math is easy.math test it is hard? Of,course not. I learned benchmark,like ordiner, divide,and like order pairs. But some times my friend help me.

A life in Penang

My name is Sunny! I lived in couple of contrys. I have been to Canada, America, Korea, Singapore and France. I have been to more contrys but right now will talk about my life in Penang. I am almost 10 years old because my birthday is in November 18. I was born in Canada. I have one older brother named Joseph. I go to school in Dalat International school.

Chardin's birthday

Today is Chardin's birthday. Actualy the thirtieth of September is his real birth- day, but we're celebrating today because his birthday is sunday and today is Friday. The principal came in to wish Chardin a good birthday.Chardin is really embarrassed.

Treasure Hunt

Today in Social Studies we had a little treasure hunt.We had to use the directions we learned about this year.We got into groups and made directions and where to hide a piece of paper.There was a yellow,a blue,and a white group.I was on the blue group.We could hide it anywhere on campus,even lower campus!We wrote our directions and decided where to put the "treasure" and then the teachers hid it where we told them to hide it.When we went out to find the "treasure" we had to use the cardinal and intermidiate directions to find the "treasure".It was so fun to hide and find the "treasure"!That's what we did in Social Studies today!

It was fun!It really look liked a comic!

September 19,2007

Today we have a math test. Everyone was doing great. There were all kinds of math questions. I hope everyone did a good job. There were 22 questions. There were division and multiplications. It was kind of fun and kind of hard.

snakes

I love snakes.Snakes are my second favorite animal.My first favorite is the chip monck. I like snakes because they are cool and they are dangerous.My favorite snake is the Anaconda.It is my favorite because it is the biggest and it is the strongest.It can grow to twenty nine feet long and weigh up to six hundered pounds!It can eat prey as big as crocodiles and jaguars!That is all the interesting facts I know about the Anaconda.

FORTH GRADE NOTHING

We have been reading The forth grade nothing.We are now on chapter eight:The TV STAR.It is about a boy named Peter and his little brother,fudge.They get into a LOT of trouble.

Today, we've been learning about maps in Social Studies.In math, we learn about remainder.It is so fun!In language art, we did The Tale of the Forth Nothing .I like the math the bast!

Open House

Dalat has a open house onse a year. Open Huose is when all the parents are invited to come look at our classrooms and see what we did in school. If all the parents come to our classroom, we have a pizza party. This year the 3rd, 2nd, grade and kindergarden won.

Today we read another chapter of Tales of The 4th Grade nothing, in this chapter Fudge thinks he's a bird then he falls off the jungle gym and swollows his 2 front teeth! And also we almost finished our Island stories it was great fun!!! In science, we planted black eye beans. Some classmates have really tall ones. Some have short ones. I have a short one. Mine is germinating. Emma's is really tall. Today we put soil into our plastic cups. I think it is fun. I wonder what we will do next...

Grade 4

Yesterday on Tuesday we wrote our first letter to our Pen Pals in England! We're also making an island with 12 different landforms,or bodies of water like a butte and a strait!So we are making an island for grade 3 to come in and see them. I am with Kristian,and Evan. We have done our draft sheet,and sometime this week we are going to make our island's out of something like play-doh!

Great Grade 4

Grade 4 is very fun because we do fun activitys.I like it best when we have special classes.My favorite subject is science.In science we did a diagram of a flower,we are studying parts of a flower.We are doing chapel this week(August 20-24,2007).For chapel we are doing a skit and a song.Grade 4 is AWSOME!!!

Meeting New Friends

There are two new boy students this year in Grade 4. I think I will become friends with these new boys. They are funny , And fun to to be around and they joke alot. I hope they are going to be Good at sports because I like sports.

Starting school

We started school on Tuesday,we right now are doing math until lunch. School is really fun so far,it is a little hard.I like my mom as a teacher. We are all having lots of fun in Grade 4 right now.Clubs start next week!
